Diagnosis: Lumbar Radiculopathy (L5 Nerve Root)
Lumbar radiculopathy is a condition characterized by irritation or compression of one or more lumbar spinal nerve roots. Patients often present with radiating leg pain, sensory disturbances, and, in some cases, muscle weakness.
Why L5 Radiculopathy Is the Most Likely Diagnosis

Pharmacological Management

Acetaminophen 500 mg orally every four hours as needed for pain (maximum 3,250 mg/day).
Ibuprofen 400 mg orally every four to six hours as needed (maximum 1,200 mg/day for over-the-counter use).
Methocarbamol 500 mg orally twice daily for muscle spasms.
Patients should be monitored for medication-related adverse effects, particularly gastrointestinal complications associated with nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) and potential interactions with antihypertensive therapies.
If symptoms persist despite conservative management, referral to a pain management or spine specialist may be appropriate. Additional interventions may include epidural steroid injections or surgical evaluation in patients with progressive neurological deficits.
Non-Pharmacological Management
Non-pharmacological interventions are equally important for long-term recovery.

Brief periods of rest during acute exacerbations.
