Aqua Irrigation Force Supervisor Position
Aqua Irrigation Force is currently seeking a full-time daytime shift supervisor. The requirements for this position include a minimum of two years of experience in a management-level role, a bachelor’s degree or higher in business or a related field, excellent written and verbal communication skills, natural leadership abilities, time management proficiency, as well as computer, phone, and basic office skills. Additionally, all applicants will undergo assessment tests as part of the hiring process. The shift supervisor will be responsible for overseeing all employees during their shift, reporting to upper-level management on a daily and weekly basis, resolving issues, delegating tasks, ensuring smooth daily operations, ensuring staff safety, managing inventory, evaluating staff performance, and providing necessary training.
Employee Salary
According to Section 4111.01 of the Ohio Revised Code, “wage” refers to compensation due to an employee by reason of employment, subject to certain deductions and allowances permitted by the director of commerce. Employers in Ohio are mandated to pay their employees at a wage rate not less than the specified minimum wage rate. Additionally, employers must compensate employees for overtime at a rate of one and one-half times the employee’s regular wage rate for hours worked beyond forty hours in one workweek, in accordance with the Fair Labor Standards Act (Ohio Revised Code, n.d.).
As of 2023, the minimum wage in Ohio is $10.10 per hour for non-tipped employees and $5.05 per hour for tipped employees. This minimum wage is set to increase to $10.45 per hour for non-tipped employees and $5.25 per hour for tipped employees effective January 1, 2024. These rates apply to employees of businesses with annual gross receipts exceeding a certain threshold (Ohio, 2023).
