Long-Term and Short-Term Plans

Planning plays a pivotal role in organizational success, encompassing both short-term and long-term perspectives (Rossouw, 2022). Similarly, personal advancement relies heavily on effective planning to realize career objectives (Greco & Kraimer, 2020).

Long-Term Goal

Over the next five years, my objective is to ascend to a managerial position within my current organization, where I will be responsible for overseeing client accounts and nurturing customer relationships (Rossouw, 2022). Additionally, I aim to establish a property rental business in the Philippines to diversify my investment portfolio and secure passive income streams (Greco & Kraimer, 2020). Achieving these goals necessitates the completion of relevant academic degrees and training programs to equip myself with the requisite skills for managerial roles (Greco & Kraimer, 2020).

Short-Term Goals

Short-term objectives involve enrolling in a master’s degree program in business to augment my managerial capabilities (Jackson & Tomlinson, 2020). Furthermore, I intend to engage in development programs offered by my organization to expand my skillset (Richardson & McKenna, 2020). Financially, I aim to settle existing debts and enhance savings through strategic investments (Greco & Kraimer, 2020).

Conclusion

Effective short-term planning is imperative for realizing long-term aspirations, requiring a comprehensive understanding of potential hurdles and proactive strategies for mitigation (Rossouw, 2022). By implementing structured plans and adapting to unforeseen challenges, individuals can progress toward both professional and personal objectives.
