Designing a Focused Survey Template

Sampling Strategy

The purpose of the survey is to explore the relationships between trauma, mental health issues, and substance abuse problems. Comprising six questions, the first four are binary, while the last two are quantitative (pertaining to age and years of substance use). Anticipating affirmative responses to the initial binary questions due to a perceived correlation, the survey targets a specific group within the population. Employing a convenience sampling technique, the survey would be distributed at a local mall to females between the ages of eighteen and forty openly admitting to mental health problems. Potential challenges include potential hostility from non-participants and concerns regarding the honesty of responses.
