This emphasizes the importance of actively engaging patients in their care, transforming healthcare delivery into a collaborative process rather than a unilateral effort.

Person-centered communication ensures that nursing care is tailored to each individual rather than simply adhering to standard protocols. By personalizing care, nurses demonstrate that patients’ needs, preferences, and identities are valued. This approach encourages nurses to consider the patient’s life holistically, identifying areas where additional resources, support, or education may be necessary.
