Several factors positively impact the execution of the HIP. First, reducing nurse turnover can be achieved by fostering strong relationships between new and experienced nurses through continuous support. This support system enhances retention by creating a more inclusive and supportive workplace environment.
Second, the mentoring process serves as a valuable orientation for new nurses. It builds their confidence, improves their understanding of ethical and moral considerations in healthcare, and equips them with practical skills that are often not covered in academic settings.
Third, mentoring can alleviate stress, fatigue, and burnout among newly hired nurses. This reduction in nurse burnout contributes to improved patient well-being and better healthcare outcomes by ensuring nurses are mentally and physically prepared to deliver quality care.
What Are the Challenges or Restraining Forces That Could Hinder the Project’s Success?
