This retrospective analysis delves into a case study concerning Annette, a 24-month-old girl displaying signs of a potentially rare attachment style. The fearful-avoidant attachment style, present in only 7% of the population, is emerging in Annette’s behavior. Despite living with both parents, Annette has encountered classic traumas associated with this disorder. Her German American family, spanning 2nd and 3rd generational extended relatives, provides sporadic financial and emotional support. Annette’s upbringing aligns with the counter-cultural norms of the late 60s and 70s.

Introduction
